Wilderness on a step from your accommodation
This artificial lake in Lokve reaches depths of up to 40 metres in places. It stretches all the way to the foothills of Risnjak, creating a unique visual postcard of Gorski kotar. It was formed by damming the Lokvarka river in 1954.
The Lokvarsko lake traditionally hosts gatherings of hikers, walkers and cyclists. In summer the lake is ideal for swimming, while fishing is possible year round. Some of the world’s largest trout have been caught here!
